The HealthPath Foundation of Ohio is launching the Community Connection Grant Program in 2012. Community Connection will focus on funding grants of up $5,000 to support family violence prevention programs in the Foundaition’s 36-county service area in Ohio (see our website for more information about our service area).
Together with The Scioto Foundation, we are sponsoring a Community Connections Workshop at the Holiday Inn Hotel Portsmouth (711 2nd Street, Portsmouth, OH 45662) on Friday, May 4, 2012, from 8:30AM – 3:30PM (Breakfast and lunch included). We invite nonprofit organization and school districts interested in submitting a grant proposal to attend. Only organizations serving residents of one or more counties in the Foundation’s service area will be eligible to apply for a Community Connections grant. This interactive session also will provide an opportunity to discuss challenges and opportunities in Scioto and neighboring to address the two issues of bullying and elder abuse. Presenters are Dr. Kenneth J. Steinman of the Ohio Family Violence Prevention Project, Donna Dickman of Partnership for Violence Free Families and Ursel McElroy of the Ohio Attorney General’s Office.
